Experimental sound in architectural space.
Aesthetics of attention and meaning.
A laboratory of intimate aesthetic evenings — where jazz and academic music meet refined media design inside the architecture of modernism, and beyond.
SAWT is an independent interdisciplinary arts laboratory from Uzbekistan. We bring together composers, musicians, choreographers, media artists, scenographers, architects and researchers to create new artistic works at the intersection of architecture, contemporary music, dance and media art.
SAWT is an open creative initiative built on horizontal collaboration, mutual trust, artistic freedom and artistic integrity — a space where different disciplines become part of a shared creative process, enabling works that cannot be realised within a single artistic practice.
We explore how the architecture, musical traditions and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Central Asia can be reinterpreted through contemporary artistic practice, while preserving their identity and engaging in international cultural dialogue — a new, refined format for exclusive, closed-door evenings, where the standard corporate event no longer feels enough.
An experimental music project uniting light, architecture and sound in the format of closed-door chamber evenings — an aesthetic of minimalism and attentive listening. SAWT's first resident is the ensemble Meros, presenting their experimental album Magʻoki Attori.
An experimental reinterpretation of academic and symphonic music — European composers reimagined through sound design, spatial audio, light and architecture.
A contemporary dance project by young choreographers, musicians and artists from Uzbekistan, inspired by Tashkent's experimental architecture. A new performance is coming soon.
